William F. Aicher Interviewed by Booksin140
Posted by William under Uncategorized
Recently I participated in an online interview with Erin Balser (@booksin140) on Twitter. The basic premise of her interviews is that the interviewee is limited to 140 characters per answer.
In the interview we discuss The Trouble With Being God, my next project, why I decided to self-publish, and other things. You can read the full interview online here.
And if you’re not following me on Twitter yet, feel free to do so.

Get a Free Signed Copy of My Book
Posted by William under Uncategorized
It’s Friday and I’m feeling generous. I’m also feeling like testing out the new “contact me” form that I’ve just added to the site. So, in the spirit of sharing, as well as the spirit of some real-world testing of the new form, I’m giving away three autographed copies of The Trouble With Being God.
If you want a copy, just be one of the first three people to request one using this new contact form. Be sure to include your name and address with your request.
… and sorry, but I have to limit this to U.S. only.
UPDATE: All three free copies have been claimed. If you’d like a copy for yourself, you can always buy one. (Seriously, I wouldn’t mind).

Free E-Book Thriller - Have You Read TTWBG Online?
Posted by William under Uncategorized
The suspense/mystery/thriller book, The Trouble With Being God, has been available to read as a free online e-book here at Beinggod.com for several weeks now - and hundreds of people have already stopped by to read it.
The book is also available at Lulu.com in paperback and as a downloadable e-book. It’s also available on Amazon Kindle (currently on sale for just $6.36!).
If you’re one of the people who’s already read the book, whether it’s the version free to read online, (or if you’ve ordered a copy from Lulu or Amazon, I’d love to hear your feedback).
Does the writing style remind you of anyone in particular? How would you describe the book? As you can see through my goodreads profile, I read a lot of Michael Crichton (who sadly died from a heart attack yesterday), Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, Dean Koontz, Chuck Paluhniak and Nick Hornby… and as a writer it’s hard to tell sometimes if your heroes come through when you write on your own.
Anyway, let me know what you think… and if you liked what you read, be sure to tell people to check out the free thriller e-book online at www.beinggod.com.

Day One Edits Complete
Posted by William under Uncategorized
Edits continue, and after tonight’s session the edits for Day One of the book are complete. There is still one place where a little more development needs to be inserted, but since right now the focus is on cleaning up what’s already there, those insertions will wait.
Day Two will start soon - very likely tomorrow. If ambition sets in, it’s also likely that all edits will be done by this time next week. Obviously there’s no need to rush, but time will be much more abundant in the near future - and that’s really all that’s needed now.

The Dirty Jasper
Posted by William under Uncategorized
It finally has come to fruition. I have invented the drink: The Dirty Jasper. After spending months toiling over what might make the best ingredient combination, the drink now exists. Unfortunately it is so top secret I cannot post the recipe here… but send me a message and I might send it to you.
Next up, The Dirty Jasper Shot.
… and here’s a picture of the original Dirty Jasper, the inspiration for my masterpiece:

New TV
Posted by William under Uncategorized
Hope and I finally picked up a new TV yesterday. The old one had been driving me nuts for some time with the slight burn in on the sides due to watching 4:3 programming.

Here’s the spec sheet:
